A relaxing days sail, with 10 knots from the south we sailed to the Ocean Onyx an oil rig anchored off Point Cook for refurbishment. James and I, mostly James helmed to see this massive rig just visible in the mist as we left St Kilda. An interesting side story. As we were coming back we heard a request to VTS Melbourne on channel 12 the shipping channel from a ship we were about to pass. It was advising the crews intention to conduct a lifeboat drill. This sounded interesting so we changed course to get a look, only to have to go around the waterskiing crew. Good on them.
